Welcome to Our Bhojanalayas

Nourished by the Grace of Maa Shakambhari

Shakambhari Devi Temple, nestled in the serene Shivalik foothills near Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, is a sacred Shakti Peeth dedicated to Goddess Shakambhari — the compassionate incarnation of Durga, revered as the divine provider of vegetables and fruits (Shak = vegetables, Ambhari = provider).

According to the ancient Devi Bhagavatam, during a devastating 100-year famine, the Goddess manifested in the Himalayas. She nourished countless starving devotees by offering fresh fruits, vegetables, and life-giving herbs from Her own divine form — embodying selfless sustenance and the sanctity of a pure vegetarian life. She herself sustained on a strict vegetarian diet, partaking of food only once a month during Her penance.

Maa Shakambari Devi Bhojnalaya, located near PWD Guest House, is the only dedicated dining facility associated with the temple. Here, you can get purely vegetarian (shuddh satvik shakahari) food. You can also book the bhandara (community feast) organized at the temple through this bhojnalaya. This dining facility is fully managed and operated by the temple itself.
